Default Slow Day Remedy

Started out off RR23 and marked a few, missed one.

Packed up and headed to Norglenwold for the afternoon. Drilled a hole, sat down... BOOM!!!

Weighed in at 4lbs and fought like hell. Snapped off at the top of the hole and I just managed to
scoop/toss it out of the shack. Fun as hell on 3lb line.

All I could hear in my head was Zip yelling "get the net!!".

My new PB for a Sylvan white, made my day.

Cheers,

Scott.

Use stronger line

If you are worried about line shyness then use fluorocarbon tippet. Twice as strong for the same diameter of mono or fluoro line.

That is a nice Sylvan white, all mine have been small out of there.

Was targeting perch using a Palm rod with 3lb fluoro.

My whitefish setup has 8lb fluorocarbon.

Cheers,

Scott.

Wow ... Scott that's the Mother of all Sylvan Whites ... never/ever seen a White that big on Sylvan .... what a Trophy and on 3 lb line, perhaps that's one for the G.B. of records. Wish I was there to share in the moment and yes I would be saying we need to drill a bigger hole & get the net!!!!!

Real Bty, hope you saved the GPS Waypoints need to work this spot over the open water season.

Congrats my friend.

David

P.S. .... it was +35C or 95F here today, should be similar for the first day of spring tomorrow, only ice around here is in my rum & coke, 3 more weeks before we start thinking of migrating north with the Hummingbirds.
