Default Hornady Frontier Ammo

Has anyone used this ammo? I am looking specifically at 55 gr either .223 or 5.56 for my AR. Am hoping it would be a cheaper alternative for coyote hunting and possibly self defense instead of using FMJ...

We have had Open House days at our Range the last few years, distributors bring a variety of firearms for for use for the general public. The Frontier ammo was used in a couple AR's that were provided, ran a bunch through them no problems.Tried 10 rounds in a Kimber bolt .223,about 30 % FTF due to the harder primers I would think, but that's to be expected considering it's not designed for bolt guns.Loaded the FTF rounds into the AR'S after and they fired no problems.

Anyway, crimped primers made at the Lake City plant for Hornady, only shot at steel so I can't really give an opinion on accuracy but it should be adequate for your intended purpose.
