22-284 was on the short list too and quality 6.5-284 brass is everywhere.

plus i have the 6-284 so i might as well complete the family

he wont get 4K with an 80 and he wont stabilize the bullets he wants to. but i'll likely get to find out how this cartridge shoots with 55's lol
