Default Digging out after the storm-pheasants

Just had global news catch me by surprize at the door wanting to know if the pheasants had rough time because of the blizzard. Answered few questions and dug out a bit of snow from a hutch shelter. Today was easy compared to 6 hours of digging yesterday. On global tonight at 6 PM.

Default should be good for a laugh

We have been digging out for 2 days with tractor mounted snow blower and had to bring in a back hoe and front end loader to clear an 8 foot drift from driveway last night. I am sure after 3 hours on or under the tractor (replacing a drive belt) this morning I am "camera ready" for the interview including my snow camo togue and chore jacket.

Rob:

You needed a pretty big breasted peasant on the tractor.

That way you get more air time.

Default Greylynx

5 minutes before they pulled in the yard I was under the tractor replacing a drive belt on the tractor mounted snow thrower.

I grabbed the only hat within reach (to cover my rod Stewart hair style of wind whipped" and asked if I could help them when the van rolled into the yard?

she said we are from global doing a special on the rural people digging out could we talk to you and show the folks your birds. "Er ah, sure I guess"

Default Pure chinese roosters

I didnt raise any Manchurians or Idaho blue backs this year. These are really hardy in tough weather as you can see. Some of these birds were buried in snow up to their necks and worked their way out of the hard packed snow crust. suspect the icycles on feathers and wattles is from breathing in contained area under snow until they broke out.

Found a couple areas they actually had little tunnels where they moved around under snow banks.

At least you kept your balaclava pulled up. I think the guy running the snowblower was caught a little more off guard.

On a side note, was the cameraman named Braden?

Default Ken

There is absolutely no law which stops one from ploughing snow with a tractor in the nude.

I just wish I could get the heated cab working, but then again maybe the defroster not working saved everyone an embarrassing explanation.
Can you say "brass monkey"

Sounds like a Brady maneuver, but he confirmed it wasn't him. I told him about this guy though, and now he has some asking around to do. Sounds like the news crews are getting a little tired shooting footage of snow.
