Default Parking Bans on Calgary Street Declared on Dec 4

Heads-up for those who live on a snow route. The Snow Event is called for Calgary at 9a.m. on Dec 4th , and the Parking Ban is activated. If you are parking on a snow route, please make sure your vehicle is off the street before the parking authority ticket and/or tow your vehicle.

More information at:

Good day, y'all.

Default Got to start somewhere But..

There are are cars here in the NE on Snow routes just Buried, and even if Dug out couldn't get thru the 1 1\2 feet of Snow..Snow tires or not..The side streets in the NE are impassable to anything but an SUV or 4x4...I pulled a Honda AWD out of my alley yesterday...The NE especially around Martindale and Saddletown was Hammered as they are the Snow Fence for Calgary..You'd think the City would realize this but Alas, These aren't Affluent Communities..

I saw some of the drifts on the news this morning, some vehicle were completely buried.Good luck towing them out.Probably most have rock hard windblown snow packed under them so dragging them out could do a fair amount of damage underneath.Wonder who pays for that?

The last time they did anything on my street, was on the west side of the tee I live on. I live on the eastern half of the intersection, SOL. They didn't clear the whole intersection.

I heard on the radio today that if your car is stuck in the snow removal zone or lane that if you leave a note explaining that you can't get your vehicle out of the lane then you won't get a ticket or something like that.

Take some pictures if you can't move it anyways and time/date stamp them.

At the very least you have something to fall back on...
