Default Great Read for old train enthusiasts.

A friend sent me this and I think you'll enjoy,, even non-train enthusiasts.

Smile Nice post

It was disasters like this that spurred the development of accurate watches in the US. The trains had orders of when they could be on the main line and when they had to be in a siding. It was key that everyone knew exactly what time it was. The watches they carried got as accurate as 30 sec per month. Jewllers made a living constantly re-certifying rail road watches.

The Hamilton 992B was the best one ever made.
