Default Beaver

Just wondering what you fellas are doing with your small beaver, tanning or sending in with medium & bigger. I think the nails compared to staples for boarding has been covered some time ago but considering trying staples . Like nails to raise pelt off of board some what to help drying .

If using a stapler, with long staples, a spacer of sorts can be fashioned to give a distance, separating the hide from board. Will still require "lifting" hide from board....

I home tan everything smaller than Large. More value in them that way than sending to auction.

I’ve always wanted to try stapling but i’ve Gotten pretty quick using nails and I like to raise the pelt up an inch so the pelt dries faster.

Let me know how stapling works for you. I’ll take your word on it.

I tried the staples and found it a pain removing them once dried. Nails in my opinion are way faster and easier.
