Default winter trapping and hunting dog question

i hunt late season grouse(up to jan. 15) and hare after bird season closes. pup comes with me, a Large Munsterlander, Versatile hunting pointer. to date i have hunted on private land and designated natural areas. opal, redwater, halfmoon.
Is there any trapping allowed in the natural areas? I avoid crown land during trapping season, but it never occurred to me there may be trapping in natural area. is that the case or is trapping prohibited?

First and foremost carry something capable of cutting aircraft cable. Aside from that I would stay away from any trail with fresh skidoo tracks, especially if there is a sign by the entrance stating it’s an active trapline, it’s possibly or likely being actively trapped.

Also keep an eye on your pup, even if it isn’t snares or traps good to have an eye on the pup due to predators that are hungry.

Familiarize yourself on how a snare works....they are easy enough to undo if you know how. And generally a dog won't initially fight a snare as strenuously as a wild animal.

We used to raise pheasants where I live and had a guy show up with his dog. I told him to stay out of a certain bush but he forgot...I caught his dog three times before he could get him out of that bush.

As far as I know trapping is allowed on both of these properties. I have written permission to trap some of this land signed by the local biologist.
