Default Ultimate bear

Anybody else see that show on TV last night. They compared a grizz, polar and black bears. How they are all designed differently, their ability of smell, climbing, claw design, jaw strength, running had some very good footage and was very informative. It was done by National Geographic.

Yah i watched it as well, it was very well done except near the end it really ****ed me off. I still recall what they said " We still arent sure which bear maybe the ultimate bear but we do know what the ultimate predator of the bear is....Humans. While Black bears have only killed 37 humans in the past 100 years humans kill tens of thousands of them a year!" and then they show a hunter with his rifle while saying this trying to make us out to be the bad guys once again.

Ok well we can stop hunting them if you want, then that number 37 will start to increase drastically be it from actual maulings or vehicular accidents.

They stated on there that a blood hounds sense of smell was 300 times better than a humans and a bear was 7 times as great as a blood hound. Amazing. That polar bear crashing through the ice after that seal was amazing and he got him too. It was also amazing that those 2 guys lived after getting atacked by that grizz. I wish I had mt VCR on. I always thought that grizz don't climb trees---I was wrong.

Lethal I really do not think they were portraying the hunter as the bad guy, but what else is there here in North America that will take a bear down. Except themselves and humans.
