Default Costco's Browning riflescopes

I see Costco online has Browning riflescopes 3 x 9, and 4 x 12 available for $229 delivered. Does anyone have any experience with these, and any thoughts on how they compare quality wise with other scopes in this price range? Seems like a pretty good deal...?

Pretty sure they are made by Bushnell so likely decent quality....the price sounds good. I'd look through the Bushnell line up to see which models they actually are. Imagine the only thing Browning about them is the logo.

I'd like to hear any reviews as well. I just want a little better scope for my 223 (4X12), sounds like a decent deal if there at all decent.

Bushnell 3200's just cosmetic changes to the scope and a browning logo.

Default Costco scopes

Haven't seen them yet, but I know SIR handles Browning scopes and brags them up to be just that - Browning. I haven't used a 3200 either, but do have a 4200 w/ the Rain-Guard coating on my Weatherby .243 and I like it - it's light and really bright for a $300 or so scope. Overall, though, I'm of the opinion that the optics should cost as much as the gun. I really like my Zeiss scopes, and the next scope I buy will be Schmidt & Bender. The Meostars by Meopta are awesome for the money and easily hold their own with the Zeiss Conquest line - bright and amazing clarity, no parallax adjustment needed cause they're clear and distortion free.

If its actually comparable to a 3200 thats a heck of a deal. I love the 3X9 on my tikka, in that case i may have to order two (throw one on something else as well). I'm doing a bit of searching around the web, thanks.

Interesting to note that Browning does not list riflescopes on their website...

The Browning scope does not have the rainguard coating. I had actually thought these wouldn't be around anymore as the last I heard browning wasn't able to purchase them from bushnell anymore.

If they are in Costco, they are not the same scope as the 3200. IMO. Just like "Michelin" tires at Sears.

I bought a 4-12 Browning from P&D for my .204 a while ago. It was on sale for around $220, down from close to $400 as they've been discontinued. Seems great for the price -- wholesale still lists the same scope for 380 or so -- I've only used the scope for about 40 shots at the range, so can't comment too much on the scope, but it seems pretty close in mechanics and clarity to my 3200 3-9. Like others have said, they're made by Bushnell, and I've heard them described as being either like a 3200, somewhere between the 3200 and 4200, and being most like a 4200, but without rainguard. Definitely a good scope at that price, though.

If you're in Edmonton, you could check out P&D. Last time I was in there they had more available, from 3-9s up to 8-24s, all at very good prices.

I was in P+D yesterday and they still have the Browning scopes on sale there. 3x9-40 was on for $225 and the 5x15-40 was on for $239 if I remember correctly.
