Funny. Unfortunately its still considered assault. I remember a few years ago some guys got charged with assault on Whyte ave in Edmonton for spraying people with water guns on Canada day.

I would do it if I had land and trespassers.
If they charge me with assault, they'd better charge him with trespassing.

I don't have any land nor do I trespass so I'll stick to doing what I can for the property owners that do let me hunt.

actually if you read the comments they explain that this guy was a repeat offender and had been warned ...

To jay malone. This was not set up or added in. And to everyone else. This man has been warned for being on private property. He chose not to listen. There was many signs posted about the paint. Unfortunately you cannot see in color but his clothes were not ruined. They were old, stained and ripped. What you don't see is another young man who actually destroys a few things in the property. Please get your facts straight before assuming. Thank you!

I think it's a great idea people catching guys like this trespassing, warning signs are posted so really nothing the trespasser can do.

Need a spray set up of skunk spray! Now that would be memorable and you could track the guy into town.

That is what trespassers really deserve.

I am tired of people taking advantage of landowners and leasers, I find my self getting more satisfaction out of patrolling my unharvested fields rather than hunting them, go figure.

Oh, you're still hunting your fields...

But you're hunting trespassers now.

I caught this guy yesterday on my trailcam, opens my gate drives his white escalade truck into my farm yard stays 20 min and leaves , he comes back 2 hours later with a yellow can am sxs and drove all over the place was in my chicken coop, got some good pictures of his smug ugly face and his modes of transportation. I'm going to thorsby RCMP with the pictures this morning and I'm going for 2 separate trespassing charges with a grand total of 7000$ fines he must have passed at least 12 no trespassing signs on his little adventure. If I knew how to upload pics of this guy I would. This happen in the Warburg area

I hear the stories from you land owners and just cant get over the fact people are now this brazen to scout it out and them come back for a rip on your side by side. My generation was taught respect and such. It was drilled into us. I and all my friends with kids do the same. So are we that much of a minority now? Where are all these arse's coming from?

I know opinions of booby traps are frowned upon here but it sure seems like something has to be done, LEO's don't seem to care much and the landowner is always the one dealing with it. Too bad you couldn't have his Escalade towed while he was out for a rip. Would have made for a good video on his return

Exactly.

Pretty disheartening to see this trend.

An older dude should be smart enough to stop trespassing, after being warned several times.

Added one thing. As for the paint trap. I like.

Why do the criminals always get the leaniant side of the conversation. No worries of paint or injury if you don't go where your not supposed to. I'm referring to warned people and obvious signed properties.

I understand mistakes can happen where you think your somewhere but not. This guy obviously knew not to be there.
