Default Info on trail cam pic....

I got only 1 pic of this buck and seen as how its not a great pic I was hoping the outdoorsmen forum detectives could give me some indication as to what this deer might look like. would it be a shooter buck? maybe guess a score/age?

I maybe asking a lot but any info/thoughts would be great!

Thanks

With that pic an estimate of score and age would be impossible and it seems to me that I would most likely pass this one up and wait a couple years or so. But that is me - if you are happy with it then it is a shooter for you.

My suggestion would be to set your camera to take a burst of 3 or 4 pictures so you have better chance of getting at least one decent picture of whatever sets the camera off.

This is true, also set the camera so it will take another burst of picture in a smaller amount of time, I set mine for 15 second on 3 burst.

or better yet, set it for a 30 second video. Should give you plenty of opportunity to see the deer at different angles. Plus, sometimes you'll see deer passing by in the background that you wouldn't have seen if it was just a pic.

Great ideas, thanks for the suggestions. First attempt at the trail cams. Almost as exciting as the hunting itself (almost).

Just on a side note, how often can you check a trail cam without spooking the deer. I generally go during the middle/hottest part of the day, but can hardly give it 3 days before wanting to check it again.

Thanks
