Canadian Whitetail TV Giant
Hi all,
Here a picture of the buck we had called Droppy. We we're fortunate enough to film and watch this buck dating back to 2008, and for the last 2 years I had the honour of hunting him. On Oct 6th 2012, it all finally came together in the late afternoon, when I was able to take him with my bow, marking the end of a legend for us, and the best whitetail footage we have captured to date. He has a 200" typical 5x5 mainframe, and after adding on the abnormals, comes in well over 230" nontypical, but numbers are just that... Numbers, and I've never been to into scores. Regardless of if he was 130", or 250", it is a hunt I will never forget, and we feel priviliged to be able to share this incredible old buck with all our viewers. It was truely a bittersweet day that we got him. Excitment, but remorse. I sure miss hunting the old boy, and still feel sad everytime we check trail cameras knowing he will not be there.
For the complete story and pictures, please check out the August issue of North American Whitetail, and watch for Droppy featured on this season of Canadian Whitetail TV, airing on The Sportsmans Channel, The Pursuit Channel, and WildTV.

Thanks for the comments! Sorry it took so long for some pics.
It really was something to watch him the last few years, and have the oppertunity to hunt him. To me, he sure is unique. Alot of people that heard what he had scored, had expected a gnarly non-typ, not a 200" 5x5 typical frame.
We can't wait to air this hunt and share the footage and pictures of him from 2008 until now with everyone.

It's all about the hunt but when a slob like that deer hits the ground its party time, congrats, a deer of a life time.

Well now that "he's" not here, I'm gonna say what a pig, what a hog what a..... No disrespect to the deer or "him". Just having some fun hey Diver?
There is something to be said for picking a deer and hunting only it.
I can understand the mixed emotion part of the story.
Well, onto the next story line.

Congrats on a true giant. They don't make many that look like that. Hard enough to find one, tougher yet to put it on the ground. I could only imagine the time and effort, disapoinments, and the feeling of finally getting your hands on it!
