Default GPS on Sale

Walmart has a few models of the Garmin on sale. Seems they are dropping prices (on some items) to match the U.S. prices because of our strong dollar.

The Garmin models are nice I have the Etrex legend and some of the maps I have downloaded for it even show quad trails and logging roads back in the mountains.

Ryan, does the software come with the legend? I'm thinking about upgrading.

No I had to do a little downloading off the internet. I beleive there is a package that may come with some software but the good ones you have to buy or download.

I would not buy any Garmin Etrex, unless it was a new "H" model. In August I purchased an Etrex Venture HC. I can get a quick lock when I am in my basement. My brother-in-law's Magellan, it took forever to get a lock, standing on a street in St. Albert. Sure a few trees, and overcast, but I nearly froze waiting for that thing to lock on. He took it back to Canadian Tire. The new "H" model Garmins work much much faster.

I bought mine at GPS Central. http://www.gpscentral.ca/

Kan, not sure which one you mean. There are a couple models of the legend and one's on for $149.97 down from 164.97
The other is the higher model and I can't remember the price but I know it's well over 200.
