Or the enjoyment factor!!!! People seem to always want to bring down Canada and what we do. I think it's a inferiority complex.

College would destroy them.....

Another throwing TD because that’s all they do is throw the ball, there’s no defensive game in the cfl. Its a free for all. Like I said it’s like putting a soccer net in the NHL.
Having 4 relevant teams in your league out of 9, great competition.

Again, a CFL team would beat a college team. These are grown men playing a team of boys. All the CFL players are ex US college players. An average college team might have 2-3 players that crack the NFL. If all these American players are so amazing how come they don’t all make the NFL?

Like the “defensive” battle in the Monday Night game last week? The game that people are considering one of the best NFL games ever? The NFL is becoming a throwing game and becoming more like the CFL.

I’d say it depends on the college team. Are we talking FCS or FBS? I much prefer the CFL to NFL and I prefer College ball to NFL as well. I’d put up a team like Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, Washington State, Auburn against any of the CFL teams and it would be a good game. But won’t happen two different games as mentioned. 3 vs 4 downs, time clock, ball size, field size, forward motion etc..
Go REDBLACKS!!

I would never have guessed on so much scoring. The O/U was 55. 32 at the 1/2
Chilli is great.
1/2 Time show is good as well. (Change that to GREAT)
Once again, well done Edmonton. Just fire the Field guys and all will be good.
That will not happen here in Calgary next year. That much I can promise you. Though I do have to say, when I was on the Turf at McMahon a month ago, it was not as good as the stuff we have at our High School field.

Without a doubt. The majority of college players graduate and start working normal jobs. Hell, Jon Cornish set records at Kansas.
It would be like saying an NCAA Div 1 hockey team could beat an AHL team. Not gonna happen!

But that’s most college players.
This was from 2013:
1,086,827 High School Football players
70,147 NCAA players
6500 players scouted by the NCAA
350 invited to the combine
1.6% of NCAA players to NFL
150 players remaking after year 4

Someone should start a CFL bashing thread if they need the attention. Leave the “Grey Cup” thread alone. Sheeesh.

Now if by some miracle (of goal tending) the Flames could win the Stanley Cup....they could be a city of champions too!!

I would consider my grade 1 participation ribbon for sand tag more significant than a grey cup ring.

There you have it guys and gals, Calgary finally won a grey cup with the last couple years of losing, they figured it out. I still don’t cheer for Calgary ever and kinda bummed they won in Edmonton but they played a good game.
