Default Grey Cup

All you northern folks. Any excitement up that way for the game and all the extra stuff? Or did the idea come to a slow down with the chance of the Eskys being there?

I'm still excited, even without the Eskies.
It's a good time.
I just hope it's not -30.
(84 rows up I should stay warm, being so close to the sun and all.)

In typical fashion there will be lots of tickets for sale since the home team isn't in it. I've been going to the Grey Cup for about the last 15 years and it happens every year. Since the Esks were eliminated there were lots posted online. The next best scenario was the Riders making it, as Rider fans travel well (I am one of the faithful). If the Bombers can make it past Calgary I think there will be a decent turnout for Bomber fans as they have been waiting forever to see their team hoist the cup and this might be the year. The weather will play a big part too. Our crew has tickets but if the weather is terrible, I'll eat the $150 dollars and watch from the comfort of my couch.

If anybody wants to go to the game and doesn't have tickets, my advice is to wait as long as you possibly can. I've had tickets given to me outside the stadium cause a guy couldn't sell them. Friends bought 2 for 1 game day. There will be lots available and cheap.

That being said, I'm still showing up Thursday and taking in all the parties. It is the best weekend of the year and an awesome time.

Calgary will tank like they always do

I think the Bombers will go to the final. Not sure about the east. Think the Ticats may make it.

My Son is thinking about going. I also have had the same exact experience about cheap tickets if not free. Thing is, he doesn't believe me. What do I know, I am old guy and things don't work like that!!! LOLOLOLOLOl I will show him your response and perhaps he will start to listen. I am glad to see him and his friends want to go. I am hopeful the CFL can start appealing to these kids in some fashion.

100%. If the CFL wants to survive it needs to appeal to the younger generation. And definitely tell him to wait to get tickets. There will be a little run on tixs after the final is decided but there will be tons for sale up to kick off. I had a buddy that went for years with no tickets. He would buy them game day and have better seats than us for cheaper.

I thought Edmonton fans knew the Eskimos wouldn't be there on 14th June? If they didn't, everybody else did....

With the Riders and Eskies done I'd like to see Hamilton vs Winnipeg in the cup we'll have see if the cowboys choke again on Sunday.

I'm sorry.

Did you think Calgary dropped out of the league and wasn't playing this year?

CANT WAIT! Hockey is our national sport but Grey Cup and Grey Cup Week is Canada's national party.

There are lots of great bands playing and all the spirt rooms are full, you can have fans from teams that are enemy's on the field sharing stories over a few beer, there's no enemy's leading up to the game, just one big happy CFL family.

I'll be hanging out in the Spirit Of Edmonton room to bash Maas a bit then likely jump around to all the other teams venues, cept maybe Calgarys. Better dead then red!

Hoping for a Tie-Cat Bomber final. Would love to see Nichols ring that bell.

Heard yesterday weather is suposto be great, a low of -12 and a high of -6
