Sheep Creek where it enters the Smoky River, if it ain't too high and murky, holds some large grayling. I've caught decent (30-40 cm) bull trout from where the highway bridge is, downstream, past the railroad bridge. The best angling is in late August-early September, though. The Sulphur River, so wild and dangerous, must hold big bull trout. But, gee, how to access it? It's a 'box canyon' in a few sections. Not for the faint of heart. Tight lines! Beautiful scenery! And kind of romantic. The Sulphur Gates are not to be missed.
