First rifle I hunted with was my grandfathers 3030 Winchester 1894. To this day it lives at our family cabin.

First rifle I owned was a 30-06 savage model 110 I never liked it. Their was something about it that just did not fit right so I sold it to a good friend and it is his favorite rifle for the last 20 years.

I got into the hunting and guns thing at the age of 38. A friend at work gave me his Rem 700 in 7mm mag almost the day after my PAL arrived. He used to hunt with it back in the '80's but hadn't been hunting in many years and wanted to see it getting used again.

I used it for the first spring bear season but didn't see anything. Ended up not really using it until a few years later, this year to be exact. Finally ran into some game when I had it on me and zipped a couple whitetails with it. Felt good to take in some meat for my buddy with his old gun and he seemed pretty happy it was out working again too.

My first rifle is a cheap Chinese type 56(SKS), it was a keeper, I learned my fundamentals on that platform. Had to admit, it wasn’t an easy platform.

Default Wish I had kept it

My first rifle was a Lee Enfield Mk 5 jungle carbine. She kicked like a mule and sold her prior to joining the army 1974..
