Default Are there any other levergunners here?

Just curious to see how many of the forum members also are levergunners.

I'm into old Winchesters, but also have a few Marlins as well.

I have a couple Savage 99s in .300 savage. I always liked the look of Sako's levergun which was like a Sav. 99 or a Win. 88. I think it was called a "Finwolf"??? or Finbear???

Never owned a Win. 94 or a Marlin though.

To clarify, I have the following:

Marlin 1895 CB in 45-70 - action slicked up.
Marlin 336C in 35 Remington

Winchester 1886 in 33 WCF made in 1907
Winchester 1886 in 45-90 made in 1888- this coming winter's restoration project
Winchester 1894 in 30 WCF (30-30) octagon barrelled rifle made in 1907
Winchester 1894 in 38-55 round barrelled rifle made in 1920

Winchester 94 1967 Canadian Centennial 30 WCF Carbine

1947 Winchester Model 71 in 348 WCF
Browning Model 71 Carbine in 348 WCF

Marlin 39A Mountie in .22 cal

With the exception of the Mountie and the 1886 project rifle, each will take it's turn hunting this fall.

Im gonna look pretty sad speaking up in this crowd of addicts, but i have a dirty 30 in the old 94. I grew up shooting it, and a great other guns, but this was one i dearly loved as a youth, and made it a point to take it off Dads hands about 5 yrs ago. Had her completly refinished and all action hardware hot blued. A nice little facelift that regeuvinated an old friend. A few years back, i had a lyman aperature mounted on her by Don at Dons gunsmithing in Rocky, and she never shot for me so well as she does now. Took her bear hunting over my baits a couple years back cause it had been years since i had taken anything with her, figured it was part and parcel. She tagged me out on two avg blacks. Felt good to pack that rifle again. Brought back lots of good times, when a good rifle was all that really mattered in a kids mind. With all the cash ive invested into other iron, this is still my favorite rifle to spend an afternoon at the rge with.

keep a strain on er.

I have ONE Lever Gun.
So I dont really count much as a "Levergunner". Its a Marlin Guide Gun in .450Marlin. I bought it when I was Guiding to use for tracking wounded Bears. Other than that it hasnt Hunted one day of its life (Carried it for about 4 hrs. on a Moose Hunt last Fall). But it does Tag along with me on Backcountry Quaddin'/Campin' trips.

I keep saying I will take it along for my own Bear hunts, but find a .338 Win. Mag. in my hands for most all of that.
