Default new jigs

hey all has anyone tried any of those new berkley jigs? i just saw them at BPS and bought a bunch, the one great thing i like about them is they come in a pack of like 7 depending on the size and there is NO paint on the eyelet. ready to use right out of the pack for $3.79 per pack if i am not mistaken. like most i sometimes forget the eyelet paint removal tool and use other hook points to free the eyelets from the jims jigs and such.

If you are looking for fantastic, locally hand made, high quality, powder coated jigs, flies, ect, contact Dan Davies at Big Sky Flies and More in Med Hat. They are by far, the best made jigs around, the best selection, and they are all made local, right here in ALBERTA, not mass produced offshore. Anything you want, custom orders, prepacked cases, glow, all in various sizes. And they WORK better than any jigs I have ever used, and no paint in eyes.

Look him up! http://bigskyflies.ca/

I just picked up a bunch of those to get ready for river fishing. They do look like a very good quality jig, and the price is right. Berkley Essentials. Got mine at WSS south in Edmonton.

they are called berkley essentials round ball jig heads. ya i am so excited too can't wait to hit the rivers. the ones i usually buy are like jims jigs or something affordable which seems to bend very easily and/or breaks. not sure if they come in the glow colours yet

If you are looking for strong jig hooks, try the slow pokes, they are the strongest I have found.

Seems how every one was compairing a. I dont understand why jigs and lures have so frequent paints covered eyelets. Let alone some hard baits with glue in them. Some are quite tuff to get out but canadian tire has pliers that are needle nose where theres a 90 degree point on them to get the paint out they work quite well. As far as jigs i know this one guy Ben he is like 20 minutes from me he custom makes jigs and all With a big variety with very cheap prices starting At like .60 .70 cents and all the jig eyelets are clean also and he said he was partnered with a old family friend ontop of that Barry warcemaga if thats how its spelt. In medicine hat So they cover northern alberta and southern alberta. The funny thing is that is mentioned up top ( big sky flies ) is or was buying his jigs from bens buddy barry and doing what ever with them. But thought id point out my place for jigs. If you look up bens hooks and jigs you can see some stuff there. https://www.facebook.com/fishingbetter

the one this that really annoys me when fishing with jigs is the whole paint in the eyelet thing. alot of time if i do clear the paint with a proper tool i find sometimes it leaves a sharp edge and every time i go to tie on the line the line breaks when you try to tighten so this is why i am so excited about these new berkley essentials jigs that the eyelet is paint free, more per pack then other suppliers, better quality = less frustration lol
