Numbers are down, the governments policy of reducing numbers because of CWD is starting to hit home. Best place to see numbers of mule deer is inside the city of Med. Hat.

Is their plan to reduce numbers because they think that will make CWD go away?

Not sure. From my understanding it will never go away because the prions live for many years. My understanding of it could well be wrong though.

The population in the SE is deplorable, decimated and possibly untenable.

A lot of the deer probably died last winter. We had snow like I have never seen before and I have lived here all my life. Deer numbers around my place are probably a third of what they were the year before.
