Edmonton Area Hunting Stores

Hi,

Where is a good place in Edmonton to find some duck hunting clothing? I was at the Wholesale Sports at South Commons and it was ok, kind of marked up.

Is Cabelas much better? How about smaller stores? Canadian tire or Walmart?

Also, anybody stock CZ rimfires here?

Cannot help with much else but I know P&D stocks CZ rimfires.

I like Cabela's better than WSS. Their hunting clothes is way better quality than what you can get at WSS.

If your a bigger guy the selection is very limited at Cabela's right now, if your a tall forget about it, not a single item in xl tall or 2xl tall. Your probably better off ordering online using the in store pick up as there stock on everything is very limited right now. I had $500 cash I was willing to spend there today and walked out without spending a dime because they did not have a single item I was looking for.

Any Medium size stuff at Cabelas? I want to get a ball cap with Mossy Oak DB or the new Shadow grass blades pattern. Seems like everywhere is sold out.

Check stock on their website. They may not have much left after Saturday's customer appreciation sale (thanks for the hamburgers!).

That has been my experience at Cabella's too. I even went there twice for different things.

As far as Camo If you are having a hard time with sizes, and depending on your hunting terrian, Go and buy a pair of white coveralls or outer garment and let your daughters (or yourself) tie-dye them with the colors or shades you need for your camo. Full camo might cost you 60 bucks for uninsulated coveralls, 120insulated. Or buy painters bib pants and a shirt in white and do the same.

Or good luck with your quest for camo. Try giving Jim a call at Pipestone Archery at 708 387 5006. He may have new and 'consignment' used camo in stock.He is about a 25 minute drive southwest of Edmonton.
