Excellent animal. Perfect size for a first moose taken. Actually even perfect for a second or third moose taken too.

Congratulations on that great bowkill. What’s the story behind it? Called in? On the ground? Did he hear your knees knocking together lol?

Congrats but that moose is too big they become way too much work to pack out when they are that size.

It’s not the size of the animal taken as to why we hunt, and there’s bragging rights written all over that bull! Congratulations man!

Not much of a story .. he was in a canola field that we didnt have permission on and we called landowner to go after him ...he had walked 400 yds across a small slough out into a cut canola field .. I ran behind him and cut the distance in half and set up in the willows .. my buddy then called him back past me at 25 yds and I shot him as he whirled to turn away .. hit him in front of hip as he quartered away and arrow angled forward into the liver . He ran 200 yds to another Bush patch and stopped and looked around then disappeared into the trees . This was at 6pm ..we backed out to be safe and he was dead 40 yds from where we saw him last the next morning .. we moved some swathes of canola and drove the truck right too him ..bonus, loaded him and drive out and replaced the swathes..liver was.just mush from the fixed blade slicktrick broad head.
Knees had no time to shake Moo snuckle, maybe cause I was kneeling at time of the shot ..lol
Thanx to everyone for the kind comments .
