Default 410 on partridge

hey there all my question is i have a .410 iam using for partridge but iam not sure what type of shell i should use to give me the best chance to get one iam new to hunting iam loving it so far but need a little help along the way so if anyone has any thoughts i would raelly welcome any info thanks guys and good luck hunting

3" chamber or 2 1/12"?
I used to shoot a 11/16OZ load of shot at about 1125 - 1150 FPS IIRC.
However, you likely do not handload, so go to a gun shop and get some hunting rounds in the right length, you should be able to find #9's.
