Default Gun range near Edmonton?

I am a new gun owner (x-bolt 308) and as the title suggests I am looking for a gun range near Edmonton to zero in my new rifle. I gotta do all the initial cleaning to get the rust preventative off and such but as I am trying to look on google for ranges, but all I get ate posts from this site from 08. Can't find any listed ranges on google though, anyone have any suggestions?

Good luck .

You already have seen the sticky ?
Its out dated but probably for a reason?

As a new user were not your questions answered in your introduction?

Good luck in your search?

Actually I didn't see the sticky when looking through the front page of guns and ammo discussion, must have just missed it so my bad. I had used both google and the site search engine to find a list as I knew my question had been answered already, but the sticky doesn't actually pop up right away for some reason.

Typing gun range in the site search (selecting titles) the sticky is not on the first page and googling "gun ranges near Edmonton" actually just brings up more posts like mine.

This is my bad though as I should have noticed the sticky but thanks for the help. I just finished my nightshifts and trying to switch back to days so a little out of it right now.

East of Edm, the only two Ranges I am aware of that may be accepting members for 2017 are Camrose and Tofield. Tofield has a "probationary" period during which new members can shoot only when a full member is present. Max distance is 100yds.

Camrose is accepting new members, but the range is only 100m.

If you want to properly break in and sight your rifle - the Phoenix range on southside would be your best bet.

I went to Wildwood for over 10 years. Really nice range. They've made alot of improvements out there. The only reason I'm no longer a member is the drive is too long now that I live in Fort Saskatchewan. I'm doubtful that Sherwood Park fish and game is still accepting applications for range memberships as they have a cap on range memberships and generally fill up on the 1st of January.
I would say Wildwood is your best bet. But pack a lunch...

Phoenix is only a 40 yard range. Not much good for sighting in. It would get you on paper I suppose. Also two trips to Phoenix range is the same price as a year membership at most ranges. Your best bet is to wait until midnight +1 on dec 31 to send an application to sherward park fish and game association

Wabamun range. You have to join Stony Plain Fish and Game Association before you can get a range membership
