Default Murphy Lake, Montana with the man-cub

We have a vacation place down in Montana and this weekend was our first try at a lake close by. I had heard there were bass in there, and having never caught one, I had to try it.
Beautiful place! Loons calling all evening, turtles surfacing for air, osprey snatching fish right in front of us... amazing.

I caught a few bass and a TON of little perch. The bass were great eating and a lot of fun to catch! I can see why they're so popular south of the border.

Keeping my 10 year old occupied and having fun were dozens of 6" perch. He had an absolute blast, and every night, was sad that it was time to go back to the cabin.
If you're ever in the area of Eureka/whitefish, definitely give it a go.
