Default crazy glued Insert removal

I recently bought a bunch of arrows that have the inserts and broad heads crazy glued in. Any suggestions for trying to remove without compromising the arrows.

I have tried acetone and boiling water and neither even budged either the inserts or the montecs

Would a heat gun or small butane torch just on the head work?
I would be worried about acetone attacking the arrow itself.

If you can just shorten them the length of the insert ... then use a torch to take the inserts out of the cut off piece if you can not use a torch but don't hit the carbon and don't let it get too hot..

Screw a field tip in, heat the tip with a propane torch and pull it out when it's hot enough. I've been doing it for years and not a problem. Obviously be careful about getting the shaft too hot.

Provided you have not glued in your nocks....pull the nock and put a drill bit that just fits into the shaft inside.

Hold the arrow shaft with one hand and tip the drill bit back, cover the end with your other thumb....whip the arrow quickly and deliberately down in one motion....repeat until the tip breaks free.

Do this in an area where a flying tip or drill bit won't injure anyone or anything.

This is the best way to remove glued in tips. Trust me.

Also never glue in your nocks or pin nock bushing, use a plastic bag to hold them in, that way they can always be removed and they will hold tightly. Cover the inserted end with a plastic bag...push into arrow all the way and cut away excess with a sharp blade.

You could try this first......

Remove the nock, drop a drill bit (chuck end first) into the shaft. Swing it like a baseball bat; should hear the bit sliding in the tube and strike the insert at the end of the swing. 3 or 4 swings and the insert should be out. If it doesn't move after 3 to 4 swings then you will probably require heat and refer to the previous method with a field point and torch.
