That Jewel trigger I bought from you sure makes me feel spoiled whenever I shoot any of my other rifles!

Nice shooting especially with a hunting grade bullet LC. Imagine what that would be a SMK? I see that you keep lenghtening your distance to target, am I sensing another F class addiction in progress here?

With my current setup and optics the this is almost the end of the line for me

My scope only has another 3-4 MOA of adjustment left which maxes me out at 700yards, so I will have to upgrade before I can try to make a fool of myself at longer distances.

Oh and another thing.....I have to figure out how to read wind/mirage better

My nice 3 inch group ....got bumped up to 9 inches when I shot during a windy time, without any flags....still less than 1.25 MOA but I think I need to judge when to shoot better.

A 20 moa rail will fix that. If your hole spacing is unusual, you should talk to Bob or Henry or Joe. I think that you can get a blank and have it drilled to suit. Not sure, just thinkin aloud.

Reading wind and mirage has a bit of a learning curve for sure. But it sure is fun.

Contacted Defiance today about getting a tailor made 20MOA rail for my rifle....they will make 20-30-40....whatever you like.

20 is likely the most practical as I still want to be able to dial down to 100 yards.

Twenty moa more will take you way out there. Probably to a mile.

I hope so, I have my rear base shimmed as it is right now. Hoping that the rail that matches my action will allow me more elevation. I may also look at some different optics down the road, the scope I have now moves in 1/8 inch adjustment per click, so it has limited MOA adjustment.

The blank F class stock came in if your interested in one for your rifle. - GRS open class fully finished (no action or trigger inlet). Barrel channel already cut. Have a few Remington 700 SA inlets - repeaters. Laminate - blue/black

This rifle was set up as something I could use both off the bench and hunting. I know that goes against a lot of people's thoughts

So in order to still use the magazine for follow up shots in a hunting situation the chamber was cut so that I could load to the lands and still cycle rounds through the mag....otherwise with a long chamber the rifle magazine is not useful if I wanted to load to the lands....the rifle would then be like a single shot.

The extra capacity of the improved chamber allows me to seat my bullets a little bit deeper and still best a standard 260rem.

Another couple of modifications:

Sightron SiiiSS 6-24x50 target dot reticle 30mm tube
20 MOA blueprinted pica-tinny rail direct from Defiance
Raised cheek piece to accommodate the new rail and rings
Leupold PRW med rings

Nice! When you go to get rings, look at the Talley rings that mount direct to the receiver....they are for the Nesika action as it has the same spacing as a Defiance.

Or better yet, get a customer rail like I just grabbed and then any picatinny compatible rings will work.

Post some pics up once you get everything!

I'm thinking putting stuff together for a 260 Rem Imp with 30 degree shoulder / .060 free-bore and .292 NK to use as a hunting rig. I think that has a bit less boiler room than the 260AI. EDIT: Will likely go with the Stiller Predator action as it takes a Wyatt extended box and has that funky port that permits the extraction of longer seated cartridges --and those 260's can get pretty long.

Here is the last day/last minutes deer I took this year, at 390 yards...100m zero adjusted up 19 clicks and shot. 129gr Hornady Interbond, ~3050fps.

Left hand hole is 1st shot entrance, hard quartering to angle...right hand hole is second shot exit, almost broadside.

Both bullets exited and were not recovered. First shot deer went down and would have stayed down but another person fired a shot in the valley and the deer got up so I made an insurance shot.

This rifle would be much better suited to someone who would use it

If anyone is interested in it, let me know. I am looking to sell as it has become a safe queen of sorts.

The last picture of the rifle with the 20MOA rail and the Sightron Siii is how it sits now.
