Default Hornady 75 Grain .224 Amax

Has anyone tried the .224 Hornady AMax in 75 grain in a 22-250 with 1:12 twist. They have a .435 BC so thought if they stabilize out of it at 3400 FPS, it would make a heck of a long distance yote shooter.

I know my 1:9 223 would stabilize these but I loose almost 500 FPS, so for shooting out to the half mile line, that makes quite a difference.

Advice from any one who has tried these would be appreciated.

1-12 is not likely going to work for you. You might get lucky with 69 gr match bullets.

Others will likely scream about you using match bullets on game, even if they are coyotes, but i have found a-max to work. I can't speak for other HP varieties.

A 75gr A-max doing 2900fps will get you out to 1000yds. I do it with my savage .223. Wind is a real bi&*% though.
