Default Elk Tips Wmu 356 - 356

Hey Guys,

It's going to be myself and a couple of buddies heading up to Grande Cache/GP for some bull elk hunting.

It's our first kick at the can out there, and I was wondering if any of you could point us in the right direction of where the elk are. I am not asking you to provide me with specific locations ( you can if you want ), but I would like to know where is a good place to start. We have been hunting for years, just haven't been up there yet. Used to hunt the Yaha-tida near sundre, but wolves have decimated the elk population out there. We are going to be pulling a trailer out there to crash in. We don't mind pulling the thing deep into the bush, but if there is a good place to camp that has elk near by that would be fantastic.

We are planning on heading out either this weekend, or the next. Should be right in the middle of the rut, correct? Are they buggling our there now?

If you would rather provide me tips privately you could send me an email to lkrebs@ualberta.ca. Thanks in advance for any tips/advice you can provide.

Much Appreciated.
