CT in Rocky Mountain House
Had some time to kill before an appointment in RMH today and did a walkabout in the firearms area at CT after reading some of the posts on AO. All I have to say is damn, you guys living in the area are pretty fortunate. I was pleasantly surprised.
Kimber, MOA, Fierce, Sako, Tikka, MRC, and I believe I even saw a Blaser or two? At very decent pricing as well. I went in there expecting to see the usual assortment of Brownings, Rugers, Savages, and cheaper Rems and Wins. Dang. Some real good staff too. Seriously wish I could make the trek on a regular basis.
I need another rifle like a moose needs a hat rack but that marked down 25-06 is calling me ya buggers.

Lets hope thats the case. Big part of it is the guys and girls behind the counter and the gentleman I was speaking with was awesome. I'd deal with him any time.

I've heard about that range and I don't want to even look at it. I'll be pulling up stakes and moving to RMH if I do. Actually a really nice little place. First time I've driven through downtown.

Oddly enough they are actually a Sauer rifle dealer as well. Same with the Macleod trail l/southland CT in Calgary.

Was at CT on the South side of Edm the other day. Only one person behind the counter & most of the time she was mia. One fellow was trying to get some ammo & finally got helped after waiting several minutes. I wasn't impressed.

New CT off manning freeway in Edmonton was the same story.
No one around, ammo all sitting behind the counter with the gun shelf thats half half empty, and hardly anything for shooting accessories out on the floor.
I think it's very much store dependent and the ones in Edmonton suck.
The rural ones see or on the outskirts seem to have a decent set up.

wetaskiwans CT is quite nice too!
i was told that the gun selection was up to the managers discretion. so if that strue make sure you either let them know you approve or buy something or both. we all need these places or they will disappear one by one.
