They started coming about 5:05. Maybe 70 kids so far. Really slowed down now, 8:05. Lots of small kids and just a few of the "older" crowd. Also had an 80 plus neighbor dressed up knock on our door. She looked like a kid.

Only 24 so far (8:30). That's way down from around 70 we got the last few years. Blame it on the rain...

Otherwise, I live in a condo, kids aren't allowed in to trick or treat. It's a shame as it's warm and dry. We always hit the high rise apartments during Halloween as kids, easy pickings for loot.

On a another note - just got back with the kids. Scoured their loot. Where is all the sour candy people!?!?!?

Seriously two pillow cases full to the brim....of chocolate. Not ONE pack of sour skittles, cherry blasters, skittles or Starburst candies.

Worst Halloween ever......for me.

Kids had a blast.

Happy Halloween!

None here...but a nice quiet evening snuggling with the dog in the dark on a crazy week.

Lots of kids in hard-to-see costumes. Fortunately, the one family dressed all in dark colours, who wanted to cross in front of me, had a dad who signalled with a flashlight.

25 in total.....actually only 24 as one kid came back a second time - he had a very distinctive costume so was easy to recognize.

Nothing like a few years ago when our then neighbour had a haunted house and Hallowe'en display - one year there were over 300 kids

\Been here 10 years never had a kid come to the door.......until this year.

Three little musketeers showed up. Of course I had no candy.

Well I did have a half dozen little packs of pop rocks I was saving for the cats litter box and about two pounds of coyote jerky I was saving for Christmas at the inlaws. I threw in some condiment packs from the Chinese take out and the pasta palace I was saving for a power outage.

So I'm guessing I will be back to no kids again next year.

20 nice kids and one neighbor who scared the crap out of me. I heard some scratching at the door and looked out the window there was nothing. Sat down and more scratching so I opened the door looking down expecting to see a little guy. This big 6 ft monster with his hands up in the air jumped at the door screaming. I must have jumped ten feet. That's what happens when you have a good neighbor it makes life interesting.

We are rural...numbers started dropping off about 10 years ago...had no one looking for treats for the last three years. Too much stuff organized for kids to reap easy pickings. Little work for the reward. And, helicopter parents over supervising kids kills the entrepreneurial drive.
