Looks like it's working now. I was seeing blank squares in everyone's posts.

I like my Cooper rifles, and my Sako rifles, but I am not a huge fan of either of their synthetic stocks . My preference is, and always has been McMillan, so when I decided to go to one rifle as my go to big game rifle, I had one built using a McMillan stock. No walnut or laminate, or molded plastic stock is as strong or as stable as a McMillan, and they have a wide range of patterns available. There is a reason that McMillan offers a lifetime warranty against breakage on their stocks.

Sorry I took so long to respond. Yes my Sako 85 is a short acton. 308 to be exact. I should have got the ajustable cheak piece. The factory stock was too short for me. Lots of options with Boyd. It ends up being a custom stock after you start adding options.
