Default dying traps in speed dip questions

Can I use speed dip/gas in a plastic bucket or does it have to be metal?

Also, I read use 3 times the amount of gas than what the can says because its less sticky at the end. Does this mean the trap isn't as dark too?

THanks

I have just used plastic totes to dip traps in speed dip. That being said I don't plan to use it in the future. If you get some thick spots it just never seems to dry. I think next time I will use the water based stuff. Formula 1 I believe it's called.
