As most know the Prevailing wind Direction (March, April and May): 1971 to 2000 is from southwest blowing to northeast in most of Alberta...

A stand north west of bait at 10:00 postion will see little wind hitting bait from stand...I have shot three B&C bears with the bow in this set up...as long as your not working out ... smoking cigars up there scent will be minimal...Besides the big boys know that food didnt get there from the food gods...
Many times that big boy will come in down wind most times anyway...
keep scent to mininum...as with all hunting for sure...
Nothing worse than a stand that is sun blind in the evening...
