Tennessee Runaways
It still makes me smile when I think of Braggadoe calling one of his coyotes a Tennessee runaway. Who's caught the ugliest coyote this year? Here's what I figure is my worst coyote this year. I know the snare catch is ugly as well.

Very true. Beats the heck out of an empty snare! I finally figured out the picture posting and needed an excuse to post a pic.

I never kept or took pictures of my worst dogs and all of the ones that I kept look purdy.....lol.
I noticed a few coyote tracks near my coyote carcass pile so I put up a couple of snares. I caught two mange dogs there and tossed them right into the carcass pile about 20 feet away. They were my ugliest.

Was too lazy and tired to go down and take a close up of him . worst case of mange I've seen in years . He was near a bunch of my snares and could barely run to get away . Absolutely no hair on him , shot him and left him ..poor beggar , don't know how he made it thru the cold snap .

when i was working/living in alabama. the joke was that, all the ugly girls came from tennessee, runaways. it was amazingly accurate.
i love taking pics but have slowed down. got enough pics of dead coyotes. i'll keep an eye out for an ugly one.

That's what I thought about the one Braggadoe was referring to. It's interesting to see the diversity in the coyote population.

Here is an ugly bush yote, caught out on the trapline 100km from the nearest farmland. They are rare out there, wolves prob keep them down.
Caught in a 1/16" lynx snare, perfect catch behind the ears, and nice pose too!

Never thought of taking pics of the ugly ones.
Had one this year, old, 40lbs, thick a wooley.
It was a struggle to skin and more of a struggle to flesh.
The damn green hide weighed 8.5 lbs
Very thick skin.
