Default Hasse Lake Ab

Any fishing reports for this season? I remember the lake had some decent trout and monster perch in the past!

Cheers!

Late 70's, early 80's that lake had some great trout, for sure. Don't think I ever caught a perch....No idea how it is now.

That lake winter killed a few years ago, it basically been dead ever since. The geese have taken it over. The amount of goose crap in the water is astonishing.

A few years ago they killed everything in this lake and stocked it with rainbows. I saw one guy here posted a great video last year trout fishing the Hasse, had crazy good action!
We went there last year too once but didn’t get anything…. And yes, the water is murky…

Hasse has been on fire the last 2 years. Lots of fish have been stocked including broods, an aerator has been installed. They are trying hard to make it a quality fishery again. We fished it 3 times in December and caught at least 200 rainbows between 4 of us.
