Tikka T1X - 22LR
Anybody have this gun? If so , was there a certain ammo that it liked over others?
Thanks.

I shot cci mini mags in mine on its one trip to the range. Seemed fine in the 15 or so shots I took with it but its up against some stiff competition vs my CZ's if its going to stick around. Fine tuning will determine that.
Thought I'd try one and find out. Mags are pretty decent.

SK Std Plus, and Long Range are worth trying, they do well in pretty much every rifle we have tried them in, including a T-1x

Mine likes S&b canadian target better then any eley I have tried so far. But actually does surprisingly well with bulk federal too!
It does good with all, just better with some.

If I I use sk match or Eley match in my T1X it is basically 1 hole. Does anyone else hate the mag on the T1X as much as I hate mine.

They're really excellent guns. Never had a 22 that shot so many ammo types this well. In fact, I've only found a couple it WON'T shoot well.
I was testing various loads with mine when on a whim, tested CCI Velocitor. Same old box I'd been using to test with rifles for over 10 years=nothing I've ever owned liked it. First 3 shots @ 50 yards were touching. I now have bricks of the stuff. New production shot every bit as well.
Can't remember how it liked SK Rifle Match (my favorite) but the Velocitor does such a number on reactive targets that it's hard not to use it. lol I was also surprised at how well it shot SK Flat Nose Basic. The truncated bullet caused the odd chambering hang-up, but maybe one round for every 5 magazines shot. Not a huge issue.

Thanks folks.
Looks like I have few to try out.
While were at it , what do you guys like to zero your 22's at ? I zero'd it at 32 yds.. Thats the magical yardage .. Actually thats the yardage I had to work with that day Will be used mostly for chicken shooting.

Personally, I zero at 50. I'm good from pretty close to 60 yards while going for the head. With the ammo I'm shooting its about 2"low at 75, and 5.8" low at 100

I zeroed at 50, but mainly just shoot 100 to 200 yards with it.
It's not a hunting 22, but rather a mini clone of my hunting rifle for practice

Hey buddy I believe they have a factory five shot out now that sits flush if that’s your beef.

I zero at 50m, and twist turrets for longer distances. 100m requires roughly 7min of correction with
the SK ammunition.

No problems whatsoever with the t1x magazines. I have 3 of them to carry when chasing gophers

What is your velocity? My CZ shoots up to 100fps faster than box rating. All of my SK, Eley, and S&B Canadian Match is right around 1130-1150. I wish I could slow it down.

I haven't chronographed my current rifle, but velocities with previous rifles were under 1100 fps, and my 100m corrections are pretty much identical, with my current rifle.
