There's a game trail to the right of it, but I can't see any actual tracks where it walked up to the tree. More like a predator to be scent checking though.

Honestly, it looks like the back end of a hog to me.
The photo is so poor anything is possible but I don't see a tail, it's past the spruce so too short to be a Deer.
The belly doesn't look to me like any predator belly but it does look like a hogs belly.
My guess is, it could be anything bigger then a bunny.

especially! with the HHR reticle. (no duplex pls.)
- older 6x fixed scopes with fine X or target dot.

My thoughts, looks like it has a hump on the front.

Hard to tell with that picture - based on the posture and belly (and inferring a tail in there) I am voting for cougar.
I'm not an expert, though, although I do play one on TV...

Cat. A hog that long is gonna be much heavier in the belly and head closer to the ground. Looks a lot like an African lion😬

I see it before, it's a AO'er with shirt off doing their business.
But really, the rear thigh area looks like a cat/cougar to me.
