was out Saturday morning 3 shots 5 geese then the gale force winds picked up birds stopped flying the bigfoot decoys started rolling across the fields
was a good morning until then
but got a chance to let my 5 1/2 month old pup retrieve a couple cacklers
his mother wasn't to impressed she had to sit and watch while her pup retrieved them
was out in Alberta last weekend joined up with Gander Blaster
it was my daughter and grandson & another friend
had a great hunt
it was my daughters first waterfowl hunt
first time in years I have seen the happy glow in that girls eyes and on her face ,
thanks Gander Blaster for the great memories

Diesel.... you guys in the South?
Haven’t scouted last two days but so far we w only got Canada’s moving through the mountain flyway

That’s kinda where I figured the specks n snows would be.
I miss Thanksgiving hunting Bens lake n/e of Edmonton
She’d be white with geese some times....

Nice! Just wondered if it is possible to get the information on where the bird was banded. I have never shot a banded bird yet.

Our last hunt of the year
It was cold and snowy but turned out to be a great afternoon. We managed our limit of Canadas with a young snow to boot. Great way for the kids to spend a PD day...

Limped the vehicle out yesterday.......
Got 7 snows in the snow.... over a dozen Canada’s...!
Had my boy, another student and my good buddy out.

Way to go, Bessie! Your old girl is having a dream season. Good on you for giving her the challenges you have. As well, a teacher taking a student out to the goose patch.
