Wabamun was very off yesterday....actually the slowest day I have ever seen. Geezle was with me and we only got 1 fish at Fallis...4-5 lbs...we did however get alot of pike in the bay near Sundance (most southern bay) in a big flat area with around 5 feet of water...the 3 of us pulled around 20 out. We nicked named it the nursery...everything was 3-4 lbs....we would hit it up for a confidence boost, head out somewhere else....get bored and go back to the nursery to get some action...so please tell your wife unfortunately it was just a crap day. Most of our fish were on big spoons...all types but I found the Matrix, and blue fox perch patterns to really work well generally in Wab. Definately not a typical day out there.

bigdeer: if you want to know what lures have been working great, I would recommend using a 3 or 4'' blue, blue fox spinner. Even though the pike were all small, couldn't keep them off of that thing. The other great producing lure was a 5'' blue and purple mepps syclops spoon.

As for the remote spot I was fishing I will give you a PM.

Wabamun must be off alot. I fished there on the 14 July caught one and fished from 0700hr until 1530hrs and then again today from 0800hrs until 1430hrs and never got a bite.. plus the loading area was insane must have been at least 80 boats out there today.

Full moon can be funny. Solunar tables say good but I'd take a couple days before or after for lake fishing or a new moon for that matter.
