Default The last fetch

Here is a wood duck I got done this week. It was the last bird my hunting buddy retrieved this year and probably his last ever. Keephills has been a good place for me and it was a lucky day when this great looking bird came into the decoys. I hope you all like it.

Default nice bird

those square tertials are a good indication on how prime this drake really is. Nice job, I shot far too many of them in the rice paddies of northern Ontario many seasons ago. Had them in the reference aviary for carving but our winters are very hard on them outside.

THANK GOD

With that title and your handle I was expecting a story and pics of how you stuffed your dog! Whew....

I guess you could kind of tell my opinion on the tastefulness of such a thing. LOL Sorry.

Anyway, nice duck!

Very nice. Boy they are a beauty duck, that was actually the first duck I ever shot - granted not that nicely coloured.

Default Sorry about the partner leaving

I lost my best buddy 2 years ago. My wife got me a new pup 6months later and that was the best thing that could have happened to me.

A strange coincidence here, but her first fetch was a wood duck! I got it mounted.... but the mount job was not so good.

Can a guy get a mount 're-done'?

That bird you have is awesome and I'm thinking that my bird should be able to look at least as good as the one you have.

Default Beauty Duck

Sorry to hear about your Dog.

I shot a Wood duck 2 years ago and it's still my favorite thing in the house.
