Question Lake Newell For Rookies....

Hey guys. A couple of the guys are heading out to Lake Newell on Sunday for the first time ever. They were primarily wanting to fish for pike but certainly won't say no to a big walleye.

I'm just wondering if you guys have any tips that I can pass along to them (they'll be in a small boat). Nothing specific is necessary. They just want to have a day out on the water and maybe catch a few fish. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Default heading there allso

Yes I will be on Lake Newell sunday in my Black Lund looking to have a great day of fishing (no wind would be nice)
For pike I will be using a sinking perch, rapala walleyes like this to
made my own bottom bouncers so I will attach a spinner rog to these.
I allso have a couple of Berkly scented minnow, leaches Gulp bait pails on the boat which I will be using on the orange and lime green jig heards for the walleyes.
Wave me down if ya see my out fit maybe we can swap sandwiches
