Hey all ya fish addicts
,
Well another great weekend went by well spent on Island Lake,
once again what a fricken great lake, the water clarity is just overwhelming,
I think I had the best fishing ever so far, check this out in about 7 minutes scored 10 jacks casting 5 of dimonds, in about 5 hours of fishing we scored way over 100 jacks, but only few were good keeper size , the biggest jack measured 27" all fish were sitting in about 8' to 12' of water, most of them were smaller size in about 18" range, I just wanted to mention that there were hundreds of perch too seen some coming all the way to the boat checking out the spoons we were casting, the perch were very big although we did not target them, catching those jacks was just too much fun to try to waste time on rigging the rods with bobbers.
Regarding the water again absolutely 0 algae and very few weeds even in the shallow parts of the lake.
This lake is definitaly one of the best fishing holes I had the pleasure to
be fishing at.
PS my 3.5 year old daughter caught 3 smaller jacks and she had so much fun
still got the picture of her face reacting to the first strike , she just screamed " have a big bite daddy" then another shot folowed when we landed the fish she caught, she was very happy throwing the fishies back in the water.
What a great time
Cheers all !
