So, I figured I'd just make a thread and update it on a weekly basis or so. Here is our catch today...nailed em.

Nice catch fella's. I see from your profile your from Woss. So did you go west to Zeballos? Or east to Port McNeil?
Port McNeil is one of my favorite places to head to. Spent lots of time there at Alder Bay.

Great stuff, Dave! We're gonna have to work out a deal here sometime down the road. Seems I've perfected NOT catching fish!

Now, if I recall, you were saying that there were no women in Woss. Hmmm..........I'm just trying to picture how you were trying to 'work an angle' on that pretty young lady when she's probably out fishing with her DAD!

Just ribbin' ya!

Hahahaha. She's actually a good friend of mine I went to high schol with. No go there :P

These guys are from Alberta as well..Calgary to be exact. Both our last 3 groups have been...i'm just waiting for someone to recognize them haha.

Pat (gunslinger) will be coming with us in Aug...so I'm sure he'll be posting pics of his trip.

Any word from out Kyuquot way? My girlfriend and I are planning a kayak trip out there in mid-August, and the thought of hooking into fish even half that size in a kayak has got me pretty excited.

All these pics are getting me excited. Ill be fishing out of Port Alice with my father inlaw towards the end of August. Last year we got into some great springs. Didnt put much effort into the halis, but hope to snag a few this year. We were talking about doing some bottom fishing out from Port Mcneil (the town where they're from), apparently there are some good holes on that side of the island.....love the pics man, keep'em coming

Nice Kings !
What about Halibut fishing this time of the year...we will be in Telegraph Cove from July 22-29.
Any pointers...
Should we drive to Port Hardy and start from there?

Andrew

Not sure about Kyouquot...but I know that it hasn't been quite as hot as usual on the west coast of the island.

For chicken hali's up our way it is like shooting fish in a barrel most days...assuming weather and tides co operate.

Went out today and only fished for 3 hrs but nailed em!! Here are the pics...also a real nice lingcod we didn't get a pic of....real rough....we were the only boat catching em from what I saw.
