Well....got to say that running the lines through the blender seems to have produced results. Reider scoring a shortie (first of the year for Flames?), and Lucic finally hits an almost empty net....hard to criticize the game tonight. So far.

They seem a lot more focused tonight. Hopefully better times ahead.

They also had four days off, so they should look fresh. Sabres score, and almost another. Flames need to keep it in order for another minute....wait! Flames 8th penalty of the night. Jeeeeesus......

Pretty solid game for sure. Lots of speed, and better passing and puck control. Haven't given up any odd man rushes.. I feel like we have had way more shots than what is on the board. Could do with less penalties though.

And Sabres score with 47 seconds left on clock. Maybe the refs can call another weak penalty on Flames and we can go to OT.......

Almost snatched defeat from the jaws of victory there.....could do without that late game drama, what should have been a definitive win......anyway. 2 points for the Blender Show.

Great to see Lucic score last night, he's among a small handful of players who've given a consistent level of effort every night.

Generally a better game all around - they looked faster, sharper and like they all wanted to be there.

Just thought this was interesting seeing as how the league loves preaching parity. Boston leads their division by 15 points with 29 games played. At the rate they are going, the Panthers, who are second, would have to play an additional 12 games to surpass them. The point spread from 1st to last in the Central and Pacific is 15 and 14 points, respectively. In the Atlantic, 29, the Atlantic is really, really bad.

Anyone know if the league is going to look at this?? Seems almost identical to the same play that got Looch a 2 game suspension..
Looks like all he got was a 2 min slash and 2 min roughing.

Isn't that why he got suspended, for punching someone?

So you can tell how hard he was punched and thats what the league should be looking at too? You punched him in the face but it was a 8/10 so you're getting two games. You also punched him in the face but our Street Fighter meter only gave it a 4/10, so you don't get suspended? Maybe you think it's okay to punch goalies in the head because they are wearing a helmet?

Maybe the league isn’t blind and seen the vicious swing of that axe and immediately skating towards joe. Probably had something to do with it.

Spin it how you want but it is practically the same identical, play. Guess the league only looks at the jersey worn, and the name bar on the back. Would be interesting to see if the same thing happened but was Tkachuk.

It’s not identical. It’s totally opposite.
Goalie swings and misses at Thornton and charges forward to a punch.
Other scenario.
Buddy gets charged in by looch and punched. lol
Opposite.

Yup its the jersey, must be the flaming toilet on the jersey.

Seen the toilet remark from another poster- it was hilarious. Lol

Ok it's not at all the same, was just listening to Hockey Central and Burk was talking about it as well. Said exact same play Looch got two games for. Guess I will stop listening to him and just ask you Oiler fans, since you know more about hockey than he does..

Anyways, LA tonight, we have to beat them at some point no? HaHa hope more exciting than that snoozer last night..
