This casino was beside a large lake and I heard this boat coming with no lights nothing,he dropped off a guy and the boat split and all lights were now on in the boat,i found this a bit odd.

A set of car lights came on and the guy walked over to it with two hand bags and they stayed there about 300 yards away,so I fired up my diesel f250 and started to drive away when that car pull up beside me on my passenger side real fast so I stopped.
They never seen my truck tucked away in the dark corner near the bush ,plus the upper parking lot was 20 feet higher where I was sitting. They figured they were alone that night.

I stopped and rolled down my passenger window and there were two guys and the driver asked me how do I get to Toronto in a bad middle east accent .

Toronto threw me right off because I was 3 miles from the highway beside a lake and how the hell did you get here I asked my self ,i slowly leaned back because I got a real bad feeling something was going down and I was going to get shoot.

I seen something in the passengers hand and swore it was a hand gun,so I said follow me and bolted towards the highway and when I arrived at the highway which I had to go that way anyways I stopped in front of a husky cash station and pointed towards the east and drove away.

I never went a 100 yards and there was an opp car so I flashed my lights and he stopped,i told him the deal and he took off going east and within 30 seconds two other opp cars doing 80 miles an hour blew by me then two more cars.I thought heck what the hell.

They stopped that car it had 4 handguns ,400000 in usa cash plus one was on a usa most wanted list.I read it about it and wanted my reward and the opp sat me down and told me stay the hell out of this,he knew me and knew I wasn't broke, but he said for the sake of your family just walk away, plus you may never see a cent.Plus he told me your very lucky you drove away and never went near there car because you wouldn't be here.

Very strange story and the strangest thing I ever seen on a road.

He told me the FBI and other usa law enforcement wanted this guy bad,it was on a thusday night sept 13th 2001 this happened ,so go figure why this guy came by lake from the usa with lights off on the boat.

Strangest think I ever seen in my life. And I truly believe that if my street smarts weren't on high alert they wanted me to step out and get me in close for directions and blow me away, but I drove away saying follow me .The one cop told me the other was from Toronto,so he knew how to get back to the highway, there was only one road in and out with no turns or off roads and impossible to get lost.
That's a "Wow" story for me !!

Years ago I was driving home from Reno straight through to Edmonton. Middle of winter, middle of the night in snowstorm when I got to the snow sheds by Revelstoke.
The only way I was keeping awake was with a big thermos of coffee and a box full of 'wake ups'.
Snow coming down pretty heavy (and cold) when I saw a guy naked by the side of the road hitch hiking. Just kinda drove passed him in a daze when I saw again about a mile or so up the road.
Pulled over when I could and slept like the dead in the car for about four hours. Never tried a drive like that again.

1. Years ago needed to get a demolition derby car and a tent trailer up to northern Manitoba. Towed the trailer on top of the car, chained it down and pulled it with the truck. No problems but a lot of strange looks.

2.Was riding my motorcycle through Montana and saw something right on the shoulder of the road. Got close enough to make out an antelope. I was thinking who in the heck would put a stuffed antelope on the side of the road. After I passed it and we watched each other I took a break.

Drove by a dead Yote on the side of the road with about 12 party balloons tied to his tail blowing in the wind

Going fishing I’m in the middle of nowhere going up a little hill and when I peak the hill there are 3 cars and about a dozen people blocking the highway. It’s 3 a.m. and I slow down drive up slowly then when I was just in front of all of them I gun it into the ditch and go around them. Scared the poo out of me.

Coming off an overpass by High River at 3 a.m. and as I do a lazy shoulder check to make sure it was clear I turn around and there is a guy walking down the middle of the highway, I swerve and missed him by a hair. Left me shaking for the rest of the day.

Just turned of the highway to Langley to visit my Mom's cousin as I'm driving through. Buddy is coming the other way. Ford Ranger loses his full tub and enclose off the back of the truck . It's cart wheeling down the road. Shoulda maybe tied it betterer.

Just outside of Calgary heading to the Island. There's a 12' aluminum boat hooked up to a truck beside the road. It's full of sod. My son says that's a boat load of sod. He has his grandfathers sense of humour.

I passed her on the unicycle yesterday between Pridus and the Bragg creek turn off at Highway 66...LOL

In horror I watched in the rearview mirror as my camperette went flying out doing 110 kph, it landed flat then skidded 200 feet to a stop two burly truck drivers helped me put back in. Somebody had stolen my turnbuckle tie downs and the tailgate was down, really lucky nobody was behind me

Was on Highway 599 heading east of Castor last fall and I seen literally hundreds of garter snakes crossing the highway. Never seen so many snakes in my life.

The weirdest thing I have ever seen on the highway is a courteous driver doing the speed limit.

It happens. They're usually stuck on the 110 speed limit in the passing lanes though. Busy playing God.

With a lineup of 20 cars behind them.

I seen a couple pot plants in full bloom in the ditch. They were semi-wrapped in reflective material used in grow rooms. I’m guessing someone got busted into and the thief’s just chucked them into the back of the truck. No pots from what I could see, probably a snip and dash.

Back in my driving whilst drinking days ( bout 25 years ago), my girlfriend and I were bar- hopping in MN lake country.
Drunk... Yep!
She started getting and, well, yanno.
A here and NOW type thing.
Pulled off the highway on to a gravel road. Parked where I SWEAR to God I could see a car coming in both directions.
The rear ( pun intended) of the car seemed like a good place ( outside over the trunk lid).
Well, ok,...
Somebody had a story to tell

The "KEEP RIGHT. LET OTHERS PASS" Signs on the QE2 between Edmonton and Calgary are backwards and show the car about to pass on the right.

Heading up around midnight to the hot springs for Canada day a couple years ago. Late enough in the summer where it’s kinda a twilight between dusk and dawn. Herd of bison on the road, two stopped semis south bound and a few cars, truckers on the steps scratching their heads. I had my two bear dogs in the bed of the truck, as I slowed down they got up and let loose, the bison parted just enough for me to slowly drive through, then they grouped back up and I drove north, the other vehicles still where they were.

While driving through New Mexico desert, there was a road sign “Watch For Water”. No trees or vegetation in sight... I’m guessing they have a problem with flash floods if it ever rains.

About 10 years ago I was coming home from work, turned into the neighborhood and saw that someone had put out a big yellow "Slow Children Playing" sign. I thought to myself, "those poor people, my child and the ones across the street are quite clever."

A Co-worker took out a Bison in South Langley BC a few years ago in her Honda Civic and lived to tell about it.
Foggy farm roads , late at night Dark escaped Domestic Bison and many wobbley pops (yup DWI).
Was telling the story at a local gun store and customer corroborates the story (out of the blue) cause it was his Bison roaming the streets and feilds that night.
Rob.

I saw those in Arizona too big concrete bridges 300' long with dust and tumble weeds under them.

Another strange thing was I came over a hill there were a row of Jersey barriers across the road with a tank behind them and a soldier manning the machine gun on top after I stopped a soldier asked where I was headed and why I rented a car while a dog sniffed it's way around my car.

Looking for drugs and illegals I suspect.

Years ago I was minding my business driving near Hwy 2 north of Edmonton. I saw an old car with some type of giant rug on the roof in my rearview mirror. I thought nothing of it until it pulled up in beside me.

I see an old Cowboy driving with a buffalo in his car.
My eyes were as large as saucers, for a split moment I thought I was hallucinating.
I found a pic online of the guy. 'Berta!
