Recent Ice Reports?
Just wondering if anyone wanted to share any recent ice reports, with the warmer weather sticking around...
I was down at Beaver Mines last Sunday, but that may have been my last time there this ice season. There was at least 12" of snow on most of the lake, so if the snow doesn't all blow away, it's all going to melt and make a big mess of things.
Anyone still getting out in the south?

Was at Fawcett on the 13 th. Tons of ice and was able to drive all over the lake. 4 wheel drive is better due to snow on top. Need an extension also. Fun day for all species

6" flood water on Travers yesterday from the snow melt and runoff, Keho might be the same. Walking or quad might be ok, calling for +18 deg in this area Sat, but fishing is closed.

25 inches at crawling valley but the bite is really slow. Guessing it's really wet now with the warm last 2 days and weekend forecast.

Buck lake (south)
Was out in Saturday the 18th of March and ice was 48 inches. Very hard ice, not the soft stuff you see during the melt off. No surface water and lots of snow on ice as well.

thanks for the updates, gang -- we've been thinking about heading out to Buffalo Lake for some late-season tip-up pike. Going to be a warm week...hopefully still a good 18"+ this coming weekend...

Was at Gull all sides the last few days. Ice is close to 3 feet, but getting white. Some flood water, and bad dished out ruts, and deep slush. Dont think the ice heave at Wilsons will be passible much longer.. Recomend 4x4 only and have some digging tools. Fishing is Mixed. Had a couple good days, couple slower, but was afternoon fishing. Got a few nice eyes- 25" & 26.5" though. That wind storm the other night blew quite a few permanent shacks over.. guys were out cleaning up yesterday. The Fish Cops were out on sleds as well, which was good to see. Nice guy, he double checked my barely legal Pike i kept..lol. Was 64cm(prefer keeping the smaller fish) and gave me a thumbs up on the couple 10-12" Perch i had!
