Default Late season grouse and partridge reloads

What reloading items would you adjust to get better penetration on late season upland birds.

Those feathers are getting pretty thick these days.

Suggestions most welcome:

Powder: I believe that since the temperatures are lower, one requires a faster burning powder. 700X and the old 7625 are the current powders I use.

Wad: A softer type wad to handle lower temperatures would be a good Idea.
Even better, load with old felt and paper wads like the old Super X.

Shot: Everyone knows that high antimony lead is the best, but is near impossible to get in Alberta. Cat says plated shot is pretty good.

Buffer: Would buffer make a difference in cold weather?

Mica dust: Would mica dust make a difference in cold weather?

High Pressure loads: Try loading the highest pressure load you can. The load's pressure will theoretically go down when the temperature is colder.
Mind you, that is theoretically.

A super tight crimp: Gotta build the pressures up. Use only a once fired hull.

The above are just suggestions, and I am not sure how well they work.

Please feel free to post your opinion.
