Default Sunken Boat on Gull Lake

Wife showed me a face book pic the other day, said a boat sunk out on Gull. Anyone have any news or info on this? Simple plug missing, rocks, or something else? Or did it even happen?
Thanks

Not sure, but salvage does not apply only to sunken vessels, it's also applies to abandoned and drifting vessels.

If it was insured it belongs to the insurance company.

My buddy knows the whole story as it was him and his son that happened upon it.
Between my buddy & son, and the RCMP, the boat was towed by my buddy to a per-determined location so the RCMP can continue with the investigation and incident.

Lots of personal and physical evidence was recovered on-site for the RCMP to work off.

I am not at liberty to share anything more....other than it was a mess and luckily no one died.

One other thing on salvage and my buddy wasn't 100% sure, this coming from the RCMP officer, something to do with a 24 hour time limit to either remove the vessel or start the process of removing a sunken vessel.

The fine is $10,000.

Lol.... not a man made lake.
It's shallow in spots, not that deep and sand bars are a hazard.
If you are looking to purchase property, you really should research the lake if you are worried about it.

It's a busy place, water level fluctuates a lot . Fishin is decent if you know the lake, summer and winter. Nice lake, I am out there a lot campin, or fishin, I like it.
